Photographer and director James Loveday recently visited our distillery at Great Yeldham Hall as part of a project to explore the wealth of food and drink produced in Essex: often underrated as a quality foodie hotspot in the UK. As well as capturing some gorgeous photos around our distillery, he also visited two other sites: West Street Vineyard in Coggeshall, and Wibblers Brewery in Southminster.
West Street Vineyard is a family owned restaurant with adjoining vineyard that produces a range of their own wines. Back in 2012, they were our very first contract customer, where Dr John distilled some of their product into a grappa.
Wibblers Brewery have been brewing award winning beers, lager and ciders in Essex since 1991. They maintain an award winning microbrewery and cidery, as well as an onsite pub and kitchen. In addition to their beer and cider, we produce a Journeyman Malt Spirit for them, using their malted barley and hops to show off their ingredients in a unique new way.
